I’ve always loved frozen desserts.
As a kid, I would often dream about delicious concoctions and flavors that I would be eager to try to create. Some people dream in color, I was lucky enough to dream up flavors! My dad was supportive and brave enough to let me experiment, mix, blend, and freeze until I came up with the most refreshing desserts.
As a teacher, I’ve always encouraged my students to strive for their dreams and aspirations.
A few years ago, I reflected that in addition to making my own creations, I had always wanted to have my own ice cream business. So, I decided I wanted to have FUN with a “summer” business. As I started to pursue this childhood dream, I realized a “real ice cream” ice cream truck was the way to go. As this vision developed, I was inspired by my parents’ love of Hawaiian Shave Ice from their honeymoon and knew this would be the perfect addition to the menu. And WOW, is it! (In Hawaii they call it Shave Ice but the teacher in me has to spell it Shaved!)
And now that my I C Dream has come true, I get to share the results of a lifetime worth of experimenting and concocting deliciousness with my customers!
